Light for the world and its partners Bopinc international and WEEE Center are inviting youth between the age of 18- 35years and residing in Kiambu, Nairobi, Kajiado and Machakos to join our new program called ‘Power Up’
This program aims to promote the circular economy by ensuring that electronic and electrical products either have extended life by training repairers or by ensuring safe disposal of those that have reached end of life.
Electronic and electrical equipment and devices that are improperly disposed in landfills and water bodies cause more harm to the environment than other types of waste, hence the need to either safely dispose them by working with companies that buy electrical waste for recycling and proper disposal or repairing them to give them an extended life.
The project participants will receive Technical and business training to help them start or expand their businesses.[read more]
